Destinos Cruzados

We've done the hard work so you don't have to

Destinos Cruzados is the joint venture between Oscar Cidanes Domínguez and Marcial Dorado in Condado do Tea, the southern inland subzone of Rías Baixas. The property is located in the village of Arbo, only 1km away from Portugal.

Pousada is selected their 6ha of estate vineyards grown organically over sandy granite soils. The blend is 75% Albariño & 25% Treixadura, reflecting the proximity of this part of Rías Biaxas to neighbouring Ribeiro, all hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Aging continues in French oak and stainless steel for 14 months. Expect white fruit, citrus and floral notes with balsamic hints and laurel. This is a wine worthy of ageing. Detrás da Casa Larga is a blend of 55% Mencía, 35% Brancellao, 10% Espadeiro – all red grapes traditionally found in this part of Spain. Foot trodden in concrete with a 7-day maceration and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. 80% of the wine goes through malolactic fermentation in used French oak barrels and the rest in stainless tanks. Aging continues on lees for 12 months. Red cherries with a touch of white pepper, truffle and orange peel with lovely freshness and intensity. This is a great example of an Atlantic red.
