Minutolo 'Segreto di Bianca' Fiano Puglia IGT

‘Segreto di Bianca’ is dedicated to Bianca Sabini, whose marriage to Don Tommaso Schiavoni in 1881 marked the beginning of Masseria Cuturi’s remarkable story. It was Bianca who brought Primitivo vine cuttings to Manduria as part of her dowry, laying the foundations for one of Puglia’s most historic estates. Produced from organically grown Fiano Minutolo, the wine captures both the aromatic exuberance of the variety and the maritime freshness of its Mediterranean home. Notes of yellow plum, citrus peel and wild flowers are lifted by delicate saline nuances and hints of sea breeze. The palate is vibrant and beautifully balanced, with crisp acidity, a juicy texture and a long, mineral finish. An ideal companion to shellfish, grilled fish or vegetable antipasti. A captivating expression of one of Puglia’s most distinctive native white varieties.

The Producer
Nicely placed in the Conca d'Oro the 40 Ha estate of Masseria Cuturi dates back to the 1880s and lies in the fertile palm of the Chidro river. Camilla heads up both estates, in Puglia and in Valpolicella ... somehow managing to keep a careful eye and produce amazing wines from both. We particularly like the Cuturi wines offering immense freshness from this hot hot part of Italy as well as finesse and grandeur from the esteemed Mandurian DOC. The Masseria is beautiful and well worth a visit.
Whites we have the Fiano, bursting with fresh grapefruit and lime, something to keep the heat off your neck. The 'Tuma' primitivo is lovely and fruit forward with no stewed or overripe nuances, this is bold primitivo as its best. The Negromaro adds more tannins to the mix with a lovely herbal character. The Chidro Primitivo has more time in wood and is the jewel in the crown for a more classic serving of Puglia.
