Andrew Jefford Gives Eloquent Review Of Monprivato 2010

"The 2010 Monprivato from Mauro Mascarello is a melt in the mouth Barolo: aerial and undulating, a gossamer web softly flexing in the breeze on an autumn lawn. You barely need to swallow; it just seems to sink in to you by some mysterious process of osmosis. Nicola Oberto at Trediberri said his aim was to make 'the Amoureuses of Barolo' - Mascarello's Monprivato seems to have got there first. Forget Langhe storms; these wines breathe the serenity of a Clause (Lorrain) sunset."

Andrew Jefford, Decanter August 2015.
